What Private Hosting Means

Most small business websites sit on shared hosting from providers like GoDaddy, Bluehost, or HostGator. Shared hosting means your site shares a physical server with hundreds or thousands of other websites. When the server gets overloaded, every site on it slows down. When one site on the server gets hacked, yours is at risk. You have no control over the environment, and the hosting provider's support team is managing thousands of accounts.

We do not resell shared hosting. We set up and manage private hosting environments where your website has dedicated resources. The server is configured specifically for your site, with the software versions, security settings, and performance tuning your project requires. This is the same approach used by established businesses and agencies, made accessible for small business budgets.

What Is Included

Server setup and configuration. We provision and configure the hosting environment from scratch. This includes the operating system, web server software, DNS records, and firewall rules. Everything is documented so you understand what is running and why.

SSL certificates. Every site we host runs on HTTPS with a properly configured SSL certificate. This is not optional. Google requires it for ranking, browsers flag sites without it, and your customers expect it. We handle initial setup and automatic renewal.

Automated backups. Daily automated backups of your site files and any associated data. Backups are stored separately from your server so they survive any single point of failure. If something breaks, we can restore your site to any recent backup point.

Security updates and patching. Server software requires regular security updates. We monitor for vulnerabilities and apply patches as they are released. For sites we build, there are no CMS plugins to update and no framework vulnerabilities to track, which significantly reduces the attack surface.

Uptime monitoring. Automated monitoring checks your site at regular intervals and alerts us if anything goes down. If there is an issue, we know about it before you do and start working on it immediately.

Performance monitoring. We track page load times, server response times, and Core Web Vitals scores. If performance degrades, we identify the cause and fix it. For hand-coded sites, performance issues are rare, but server-side factors like resource limits or network problems can still occur.

Content updates via Google Sheets. For websites we build, content changes are handled through the Google Sheets CMS. You update a shared spreadsheet and the changes appear on your site. For more involved changes, such as new pages, layout modifications, or feature additions, we handle those directly as part of ongoing maintenance.

Who This Is For

This service is designed for two groups. First, clients whose websites we build and who want us to manage the hosting and ongoing maintenance so they do not have to think about it. Second, businesses with existing websites that are currently on shared hosting or a managed platform and want to move to something faster, more secure, and more reliable.

If you are currently paying a monthly fee to Wix, Squarespace, or a WordPress hosting provider and are not happy with the performance, the support, or the lack of control, we can help you migrate. We review your current setup, plan the migration, move everything over, and verify that nothing breaks in the process.

We work with businesses in Huntsville, Walker County, The Woodlands, and across Texas. Remote hosting and maintenance is available for clients anywhere in the United States.

The difference: When you call your hosting provider, you get a support ticket queue. When you call us, you get the person who built your site, configured your server, and knows your setup from the inside. One point of contact, not a call center.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need hosting if I already have a website?
Every website needs hosting. If you built on Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress.com, hosting is bundled into your subscription. If you have a hand-coded or self-hosted site, you need a separate hosting provider. We set up and manage private hosting so your site runs on infrastructure you control.
What is the difference between shared hosting and private hosting?
Shared hosting puts your site on a server with hundreds of other websites. You share CPU, memory, and bandwidth. If another site gets a traffic spike or security breach, yours is affected. Private hosting gives your site dedicated resources on a server we configure and manage.
What does website maintenance include?
Maintenance includes server software updates, security patches, SSL renewal, automated backups, uptime monitoring, performance checks, and content updates. For sites we build, it also includes structured data validation and content changes through the Google Sheets CMS.
Can you host a website that someone else built?
Yes. We can host and maintain websites built by other developers as long as we can review the codebase first. We need to confirm the site is secure, well-structured, and compatible with our hosting environment. If there are issues, we will let you know what needs fixing first.
